When Rumpelstiltskin changes diapers, Little Red Riding Hood shows Hansel and Gretel the way out of the fairytale forest, the Pied Piper is left with a child and the eccentric fairy trusts the arts of her sorcerer’s apprentice, while the nightingale solves a riddle with the brave little tailor and a telephone suddenly rings in the Rose Castle, one has to ask oneself the question: Did the Grimms, Hans Christian and co really know what happens behind the seven mountains, in a distant kingdom, between the “Once upon a time …” and the “… then they still live today” in the land of fairy tales? Or could everything have been (a little) different? …

In this witty mash-up musical by the popular Mariagrüner Kindertheater, the most famous fairy tale characters meet in the spotlight and take many a quirky turn in the direction of “… then they are still alive today”. Not just one fairy tale, but ALL of them!
