In “A Game of Tones”, the well-traveled quartet presents some classics from past decades and reports on their surprising origins. They provide musical alternatives to movie scenes that have never been heard before … They also spoil films and their music that will – probably – be coming in the future. And they dedicate themselves to their own soundtrack – the Raw Book of Music I, II and III – because isn’t the truth in the trilogy?

About Tuesday Microgrooves

Tuesday Microgrooves is an Austrian crossover jazz formation that crosses musical boundaries with passion. Their style lies somewhere between Esbjoern Svensson Trio and Medeski, Martin and Wood, between minimal, Erik Satie and Claude Debussy, funk and soul, classical and pop.
After their first concert stops, they were invited to play for Grammy winner Chucho Valdés and won the Helix Board competition in Germany out of 800 bands. This resulted in the first album release “Summer Rain Spring Kisses”. Further projects with Atmosphere Media, string quartet, salon orchestra, mallet quartet, large romantic orchestra and numerous live performances (including headlining Taipei Jazz Festival) followed.
After the breathtaking collaborations with Conchita Wurst (2019), Lemo (2020) and Monika Ballwein (2023) and the fourth studio album “Bigger Than Us”, which is also available in 3D audio, the next big chapter in the band’s history was created in 2022: the Raw Book of Music. A series of works with currently 2 albums, which once again combines several creative universes in keeping with the band’s proven tradition. In the new program “A Game of Tones”, the quartet is increasingly dedicated to film music and plays music for past and future films from 1933 – 2042.
