Love, intoxicating nightlife and shattered hopes
The end of the dazzling 1920s, two love stories in politically difficult times: US writer Cliff Bradshaw is drawn into the shimmering but increasingly darkening Berlin. At the Kit Kat Club, he falls in love with the star of the evening, Sally Bowles, who dreams of a big career. And there are tender bonds of love between boarding house landlady Fräulein Schneider and the Jewish greengrocer Schultz…
