Graz has it again – METAL ON THE HILL – Metal returns to the Schloßberg in 2025!
There was something missing from the metal festival calendar; the summer of 2024 was far too quiet and tranquil in the provincial capital and on the Schloßberg. In 2025, the Styrian panther will roar again and the mountain will burn once more! METAL ON THE HILL – the joint baby of Napalm Records/Events and the venues in Graz returns to the time-honored Kasematten stages on the Schlossberg after a one-year break. On 30.08.2025, international and national metal heroes will celebrate a memorable metal party up close and together with the fans and rock Graz to the metal capital of Austria. …

Directly below the highest point of the Styrian capital, the Schloßberg plateau, is Graz’s most popular open-air venue, the Schloßbergbühne Kasematten. Back in the 1930s, a stage was built within the old walls of the former fortifications, complete with a spacious auditorium that is particularly characteristic of Graz.
The atmospheric ambience and romantic atmosphere come into their own at open-air events, especially in the warmer months. A retractable roof provides protection in changeable weather.
