Since the 100th birthday of Edith Piaf, Maria Bill’s concerts have been stormed with her very personal Piaf program. On each of these evenings, the artist has received standing ovations. Countless sold-out dates confirm the unbroken interest of the audience.
This program is always worth seeing and hearing. Because no two evenings are the same and Maria Bill always succeeds in presenting new facets of this unique phenomenon. Towards the end of the evening, it’s hard to tell whether it’s Bill or Piaf on stage. And somehow you sense that Piaf is also there when her life story and story of suffering is told with so much passion, heart and empathy.
