After his almost sold-out first solo tour “Augen zu und durch”, Tutty Tran is now following up with “HAI DAI MAU”! To this day, Germany’s best-known “rice citizen” regularly gets this phrase thrown around by his father – “shut your mouth” in the finest Vietnamese-German gibberish.
However, it didn’t help. Because Tutty wouldn’t be Tutty if he listened to his father in the slightest. Shut up? Not on your life! And so the Berlin comedian with Vietnamese roots is now taking off with his second solo program “HAI DAI MAU”. …
Tukey’s parodies of his father’s incomparably clichéd accent and the resulting misunderstandings in everyday life are hair-raisingly funny and were already a guarantee for many tears of laughter in the audience during “Augen zu und durch”. From relentlessly sarcastic to frivolously cheeky – his anarchic anecdotes have already won him a large fan base on social media. In the meantime, his fans have also been running into his booth in analog form.
Scurrilous encounters from and with Tutty’s father are also a must in “HAI DAI MAU”, but so much more has happened in the meantime: Tutty has moved in with his girlfriend Laura! Yes, really! And that alone provides enough absurdities for Tutty to deal with on stage. Comedy gold! Like the clash of cultures, for example, when the two families meet: Far East meets East German. Linguistic escalations are inevitable, as Laura’s roots are in Saxony. Who understands what the other is saying – a popular game at family celebrations.
“HAI DAI MAU” has also become a catchphrase beyond the family’s borders and fits perfectly with Tukey’s dry comedy: he only knows political correctness from the internet – and in case anyone asks: yes, you can laugh at anything. Especially about yourself. No matter where you come from, whether you are white, black, yellow or green. Anyone who attends Tutty Trans’s comedy show gets free life hacks against prejudice, because humor is the language that everyone can speak fluently after an evening with Tutty.

– SHORT BIOGRAPHY –
Tutty Tran, who was born and raised in Berlin, has been performing on the country’s comedy stages since 2017. After winning the “Nightwash Talent Award 2017” and reaching the finals of the “Quatsch Comedy Club Talentschmiede” and “NDR Comedy Contest”, his career is on the rise. In 2020, he was awarded the “Silver Broom” (2nd place) at the renowned cabaret and comedy competition “Stuttgarter Besen”. He has been a guest on various TV shows such as “SWR Spätschicht”, “NDR Talkshow”, “HR Comedy Marathon”, “Quatsch Comedy Club” (Sky), “Faisal Kawusi Show” (RTL), “STAND UP 3000” (Comedy Central).
From autumn 2022, Tutty Tran will present his brand new stage program
“HAI DAI MAU”.
