The world-famous Benny Goodman was active as a composer, jazz clarinettist and bandleader in the USA in the first half of the 20th century. His name is inextricably linked with the popularization of danceable African-American jazz music. At a time when black and white jazz musicians were not allowed to play together in most bands or concerts due to public opinion, he made this possible in his own big band and thus initiated an extraordinary enrichment of the American sound world and at the same time a social rethink. …
Clarinetist Milos Milojevic is one of the great interpreters of his work, a rare virtuoso who has made the swing style his own with fascinating ease. His interpretations are characterized by great artistic freedom and seem spontaneous, as if they were created on stage with the breath of the moment. The quartet surprises audiences every time with countless new orchestrations and offers the ultimate swing show in the Schauraum of the Graz Schauspielhaus on April 11, 2025.
