It was in the student swamp of the 90s that the musical swamp rose “Landstreich” first blossomed. The (then) hot and humid climate of new folk music produced a creature that soon outed itself as a nightshade plant and felt it belonged more to the genre of musical cabaret. …
After the mythological encounter with a Salzburg bull in 2003 – perhaps it was just a horny Zeus in disguise – “Landstreich” disappeared and did not appear for a whole 11 years from 2005. In 2016, it returned with a “plus” as “Landstreich plus” and since then has been trying to think the civilization process further and at the same time restore the original state of creative work. In 2023, a milestone was reached in this respect when the LIVE CD “Landstreich plus – Wir stimmen zu!” was recorded.
In 2025, Landstreich wants to be removed from the red list as a precautionary measure with 16 concert credits. Some of Austria’s most exciting stages will show whether this attempt at renaturation is successful.
