Styronauten | SUPPORT: THE CAKE ESCAPE

How can (social) norms be depicted musically? Which (human) marginal phenomena and exceptional existences interest us? What disturbs or prevents “harmonious” coexistence/play? Where do alienation and distance lead us?
The album with the same title bears witness to this examination and preoccupation with the term “norm”.

Styronauten are your locals without vocals. Styronauten can’t be categorized, but they are great at making records. Styronauts are interested in all genres and have created their own genre from them. Styronauts use, celebrate and set the moment to music. Styronauts are difficult to communicate directly, but are gladly invited back. Styronauts are for lovers of dance without singing (see above). In short: Styronauts are difficult to grasp, to describe anyway, but they are danceable, unique, engaging and not at all unfunny.

Styronauten are Heinz Hoppaus (keys), David Kuhness (drums), Roland Renner (bass), Werner Schmierdorfer(git) – an instrumental quartet that is always good for a musical journey, for an auditory experiment. Spherical and border-crossing, experimental and minimalist, composed and improvised. No matter where you land or dock, whether you dock or wonder to the end when someone will start singing: It never gets boring.

THE CAKE ESCAPE is a collective centered around the five characters Zola, Gigi, Nima, Luca and Yùn. The collective brings together artists, dancers, musicians and experts with the common goal of promoting diversity and equality.
