Austrian NIKOTIN (“1010”) is once again concentrating on his core competencies as an unpredictable hitmaker – and is creating the next hype with pumping basslines, explosive eighties hooks and plenty of tempo: “Already Hyped” is the motto of his new single, which works like a self-fulfilling prophecy and a perpetuum mobile by fulfilling, describing, creating, anticipating and getting to the point – on every hype playlist from November 1st!
The gray November begins – and although it doesn’t bring anything positive per se, it does bring many weeks in which you can at least wallow in anticipation: for the whole Xmas thing, New Year’s Eve excesses and the hangover restart afterwards. Austrian real talk specialist NIKOTIN, who is now celebrating the festivities as they fall again after his red light fling with “Kamilla Vanilla” and, above all, is stepping on the gas: “Whenever I think: oh, already hyped”, he sings now – and thus expresses what his fans think every time he drops a new track…
Above all, NIKOTIN now fills the gap between Halloween madness and pre-Christmas extravagance: “Already Hyped” brings the anticipation back to the playlists from the very first bar, when the young Austro-physicist brings lush post-punk basslines, fast-paced beats and dazzling synths to a formula. A few more effects on top and the hype can begin: “Make your hair pretty, it’s seven past four”, he glances at his wrist right at the beginning and presumably smiles – after all, it’s time to “party, dance, all night long”!
“It’s all perfect if you keep laughing”, he then keeps her amused, takes a short nap in English in the second verse, only to suddenly stand before us again “in the white light” and larger than life – “and the sun rises”. There couldn’t be a better soundtrack to get you in the mood!
“Exactly one year ago today, ‘1010’ was released and my entire life has changed”, commented NIKOTIN in late summer on his debut hit, which has long since been streamed hundreds of thousands of times, and that wild first year in which his name alone was to get more and more people hooked. Celebrated for his wild mix of languages and styles, hooks and brain teasers, the self-proclaimed trash master & bohemian punk from the land of the festering and prolonged recently continued his series of hits with singles such as “Pink Snow”, “Jet Set Martine” and “Kamilla Vanilla”.
