Life is colorful when you build all your own milestones, go from gig to therapy and don’t have to panic about accidentally getting pregnant. Life is also wild when you’re traveling between the village and the big city, between roast pork and iced latte with oat milk, between classic literature and Tiktok trends. And then your studies suddenly come to an end and you have to choose which insurance you want, even though it feels like you only came of age yesterday. So it’s no surprise that Teresa prefers not to experience anything in her private life – and yet has plenty to talk about.
Teresa Reichl (*96) is an award-winning cabaret artist and slam poet from Haunersdorf near Simbach near Landau an der Isar (yes, the village is that small). During the pandemic, Reichl became known to a wider audience through viral TikTok, YouTube and Instagram videos on classical literature and feminism. Today, her art is once again taking place live on stage, alongside TV, radio and podcast formats. In 2023, Reichl was awarded the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in the “high-flyer” category. Her books “Muss ich das gelesen haben?” and “But make it classy” were published by Haymon and Carlsen.
