The time has come: Balldini is coming… not (anymore) – no, she’s going. Where? Into well-deserved retirement. But before she does, the enlightener of the nation will once again bring together all her knowledge, humor and passion from eight cabaret programs – and sweep across the stage one last time with her farewell program “Highlights” like a tsunami: “Honest, authentic, round and beautiful…enough”, as she says about herself. On tour from January 2025.
All those who know, love and adore her now have the chance to experience Balldini live once again in her final program. The “newbies” and “newcomers”, on the other hand, should be told: “PLEASE ATTEND”. This woman doesn’t mince her words. She tells it like it is – about love, about men and women, about everything in and around bed. And she knows what she’s talking about: after 25 years in sexual counseling, tantra practice and as a sexual assistant for people with special needs, her cabarets are truly bursting with PRACTICE instead of THEORY. The departure program: Highlights
With “Highlights”, Balldini brings together the funniest and most exciting things from eight cabaret programs: everything you always wanted to know about the supposedly most beautiful thing in the world. She explains the dos and don’ts in the bedroom as well as preferences and inclinations that enrich human existence. She gives relationship tips for everyday life and tells anecdotes from her practical experience. She answers secret questions, clears up myths and talks about the effects of pornography on our sexuality. And last but not least, she relieves couples who are afraid because “it works less and less in bed” and is an inspiration for young and
old with her knowledge.
However, “Highlights” always functions as an independent cabaret program and is therefore much more than a classic “best-of”. In addition to the countless hihi- and haha-moments, there are also many aha- insights – because, as always, the motto is: enlightenment with guaranteed laughter AND learning.
In addition, her truly crazy and debauched life (which can be read about in her biography) provides plenty of material for the stage and the astonished audience: From her parentless upbringing in a convent, to her careers as an elephant whistler, adult educator, interior designer and sex teacher, to her role as mother, grandmother, wife, lover and Buddhist, she has a lot to tell (and confess).

Sex educator, cabaret artist, author, power woman and whirlwind Barbara Balldini stands for eroticism, education and lots of fun. As Austria’s most successful cabaret artist, she fills halls throughout the German-speaking world. Every year, thousands of audience members laugh and learn at her cabaret performances – and enjoy tips and stories from “Balldini’s Sexköferchen”. Highlights are her summer open-air performances, for example at Obervoitsberg Castle, Tschauner Bühne Vienna or the Kasemattenbühnen on Graz’s Schloßberg. Away from the stage, her books are also very popular and have become bestsellers.
Her fans love her above all because of her open-hearted and direct manner; because she gives women the self-confidence to stand up for themselves and their bodies; and last but not least, because she (indirectly) improves the quality of many partnerships by humorously communicating to men and women what is otherwise talked about far too rarely. Barbara Balldini lives in the Waldviertel and is permanently in love.
