An evening for International Women’s Day 2025: Verena Altenberger and Mavie Hörbiger read powerful texts about women who leave, quit, no longer play along. They reckon with the monsters in their lives and dare to resist. They break out of rigid orders and long for nothing so much as love at eye level and without dependencies. With texts by the French author Virginie Despentes, who makes a plea for self-determination and the right to self-chosen masculinity. Ingeborg Bachmann’s classic story “Undine geht” and fragments from “Der Ring des Nibelungen” in an adaptation by Necati Öziri. …
Pianist Clara Frühstück uses a grand piano and a piano prepared with nails and rubber to create a unique world of sound. An evening that blurs the boundaries between the sublime and the fragile and transports the audience into a fascinating world of literary and musical art.
