More details– DANCE THEATER ANASTASIA FERRER –
– PREMIERE: “FOUR COLORS OF LOVE” –
Production / Idea: Anastasia Ferrer
A contemporary dance theater about closeness, power and emotion…
Information: Change of cast – “Four Colors of Love”
Sometimes the creative process brings unexpected twists and turns. Unfortunately, Alexey Yagudin, who was originally planned as a dancer in “Red”, cannot take part in this production. We very much regret this and are already looking forward to the next collaboration.
But every change also brings new opportunities. We are delighted that Luigi Zola, a gifted tango dancer and actor, has agreed to take part in “Four Colors of Love” as a guest dancer. Luigi Zola will appear as a neutral dancer in black. The cast will be complemented by the charismatic stage dancer Natalia Morozova, who will act as a neutral dancer in white. Both bring an exciting new dynamic to the production. The dancer in red (Anastasia Ferrer) remains at the center of the piece as the embodiment of passion.
The story
Three couples meet in the elegant foyer of a photo exhibition, accompanied by two mysterious figures – a dancer in black and a dancer in white.
Each couple’s individual love relationship is characterized by an archetypal pattern – a strong emotion – which is also colour-coded and gradually revealed in flashbacks:
Harmony and joy – YELLOW
Strife – BURGUNDY RED
Submissive devotion and power – BLUE
The dancer in RED, who stands for passion and intense feelings, plays a central role. She is not part of a fixed couple, but acts as a catalyst that influences the dynamics between the couples and puts the relationships to the test.
The dancers in black and white embody the tension between light and darkness that surrounds all emotions and colors. Their silent but insistent presence reinforces the contrasts and conflicts that the couples experience.
Over the course of the evening, secret glances and chance touches develop, intensifying the attraction between the characters. Jealousy, doubt and seduction mingle among the couples, and the dancer in RED becomes the driving force that shakes the fragile balance of the relationships. The couples are caught up in a maelstrom of control and unpredictability, which ultimately leads to an intense emotional escalation.
In the midst of the chaos, the dancer in RED is left alone – a symbol of the isolating nature of passion. The dancers in black and white linger like shadow and light, while the couples disintegrate into individuals and have to face their own insecurities and desires.
The story unfolds a poetic picture of the diversity of human relationships that invites us to reflect on the power of emotions and the nature of love.
Dance and staging
– Expressive choreography: a flowing mix of contemporary dance and classical ballet
– Props as playing partners: chair and table provide emotional counterpoints
– Light as dramaturge: color gradients create strong contours and an intense atmosphere
– Atmospheric music pieces from various genres enhance each scene
A touch of Goethe
“Four Colors of Love” is based on Goethe’s Elective Affinities and explores the search for the ideal partner. What forces drive us? And which color reflects our deepest longings?
