Alma Brasileira: Luiza Monteiro Sextett

For the past three years, Rio de Janeiro-born actress and singer Luiza Monteiro has been making Graz her new home. In the process, she has brought her roots with her to Styria. With a sense of longing and curiosity, she explores her heritage anew alongside Austrian musicians Thomas Quendler (piano), Johannes Mandl (guitar), Bernhard Potzmann (drums), Gloria Handler (percussion), and bassist Alvis Reid. They embark on a journey through Brazilian pop music, starting with the gentle and influential sounds of 1950s bossa nova and extending to the diverse and modern hits of the 2000s.
