Atman is nine years old and thinks he knows his city—or so he believes. But one day he finds himself standing on the street, no longer knowing where home is. Even though the key is in his pocket, the streets are unfamiliar. People pass him by, and the world seems like an impenetrable mystery to him. His search becomes a mysterious journey through a labyrinth of doors, voices, and memories—and a quiet question about what “home” actually means. …
With *Atman!*, composer Leonard Evers (Gold!) and award-winning writer Bart Moeyaert have created a 45-minute musical theater experience for young audiences. With an intimate ensemble featuring a mezzo-soprano and accordion, a touching story unfolds about finding one’s way, trust, and connection—to oneself and to the world.
