The orchestra
Musicians from Austria’s most renowned orchestras and international ensembles play under the direction of Lorenz Raab. Whether “Big Band der Volksoper Wien”, “Dancing Stars Orchester”, “Euro Jazz Big Band Paris”, “Vienna Art Orchestra” or “Pro Brass”, they all feel at home with James Last. With a strong brass section, they once again demonstrate the many facets of brass music. Expressive, loud, charming and skillful.
A Tribute to James Last
Their program A Tribute to James Last brings Happy Sound to the stage. James “the Last” has left us a legacy that the “Woodstock Allstar Band” continues to carry into the world: 110 (!) albums that enriched the charts from 1965 to 2009, 13 of which made it to number one in the German album charts. Numbers that say everything about an exceptional musical phenomenon to which the “Woodstock Allstar Band” would like to pay tribute. They don’t manage to play all 110 albums, but here is a small excerpt from the program: “Theme From Rocky”, “Fanfare Of The Common Man”, “Glenn Miller Medley”, “Trumpet Yodel” and “Games That Lovers Play”.
