His father is an alcoholic and his mother is unable to support the family. This is how Friedrich Zawrel grows up. He spent his childhood years in Kaisermühlen, where he was evicted from his home and finally sent to Spiegelgrund, the German Reich’s “special children’s ward”, where euthanasia murders of sick and disabled children took place.
