Gisele Jackson started her career in Ray Charles’ backing choir and in the bands of Donna Summers and James Brown. The singer from Baltimore knows how to take her audience by storm. Jackson and Wressnig will pour out a huge portion of good humor on the visitors. They offer an authentic blues feeling on the pulse of the times: tasteful and always committed to rhythm and groove.
What sounds so incredibly groovy, funky, soulful and bluesy and programs the consciousness in an instant on “Good Times” needs excellent musicians who have all styles in their little fingers. Wressnig has been touring with guitarist Enrico Crivellaro and drummer Eric Cisbani for years. Together they combine a contemporary sense of rhythm with raw roots sounds and show how much soul and groove can be found in modern soul and blues.
Wressnig’s Hammond playing thrives on an almost inexhaustible palette of timbres, from vibrating basses to bright, gospel-soaked trebles. He makes the B-3 sing, growl and scream while constantly exploring the limits of the instrument.
