– “What happened?” –
Wiener Blond return as a duo and present brand new songs as well as well-known classics on their new tour.
Verena Doublier and Sebastian Radon have been performing together on the club, cabaret and concert stages of this country since 2012. Initially equipped with just a loop station, a guitar, a cajon and a handful of songs about all kinds of everyday adventures, the two quickly created their own cosmos for their brilliant stage shows and gained an international fan base. …
In 2015, they celebrated their first successes with the release of their first studio album “Der letzte Kaiser” and their participation in the FM4 protest song contest.
The second studio album “ZWA” followed in 2016 under the self-created genre name “Wienerlied-Beatbox-Pop”, on which the beginning of the collaboration with the international “Original Wiener Salonensemble” can be heard on one song. This collaboration subsequently resulted in two albums (“endlich salonfähig!” – 2019 and “Sinfonien im Souterrain” – 2023), each of which was nominated for an Amadeus Award.
In 2020, Wiener Blond released their poppiest work to date with the album “Bis in der Früh”. Together with musician and producer Albin Janoska, they proved with this musical foray through “the fringe times of the day” that they feel just as comfortable in the band and electronic sound as they do in the beatbox duo and string world. Since then, Wiener Blond can also be experienced live in a band formation with drums, samples and bass.
The common thread through every musical phase of the band, however, is always the surprising lyrics, the Viennese tongue and the two-part harmony that gives each of their songs a Viennese Blond timbre.
In the fall of 2025, Wiener Blond pay tribute to their early days as a duo and present classics as well as completely new and unreleased songs.
This time they also have the anniversary reissue of their debut album “Der Letzte Kaiser” on vinyl in their luggage.
