AdLend Poetry Slam

The Advent season in Graz is always a gauntlet.
Like a ninja, the city’s inhabitants have to wind their way through the thousands and thousands of stalls, dodge the corpses of alcoholics and worry about suffering a sudden loss of hearing due to the same old Christmas hits from the boomboxes of boozy Christmas market tourists.
But once the journey has been made, the poetry slam ticket purchased, the jacket removed, the drink in hand, the madness of the world faded out and the first syllables sounded, then it can begin: the AdLend Poetry Slam!

We warmly welcome everyone who wants to celebrate the winter season in Graz with Christmas mental hygiene! As always, the host is the one and only Lukas Hofbauer. The line-up is peppered with slam scene greats and new faces from the open list. We look forward to texts that touch on the themes of the season – but for the sake of variety we also forgive thematic slips. The number of tickets and starting places are limited, but the audience’s affection remains inexhaustible – the presenter will make sure of that! You can win a jute bag with the stuff you would put in a Santa sack. Tangerines, peanuts, a bit of crack for the holidays with the family… the audience decides – bring your prizes!
