In the final weeks leading up to a premiere, all departments focus their energy solely on “that” day when the curtain rises for the first time before the audience. And it is precisely during this time of greatest tension and most intense deliberation that, on a Sunday morning—usually two weeks before the premiere—there is an opportunity to get a glimpse of the upcoming production. The spotlight is naturally on the “leading team”: directors, choreographers, set and costume designers, conductors, and dramaturgs.
