DAL:UM
Dal:um are part of a new generation of Korean music that doesn’t merely preserve tradition but reimagines it. The duo Ha Suyean and Hwang Hyeyoung, playing the Korean zither-like instruments gayageum and geomungo, weave an extraordinarily delicate sonic language that bridges minimalism, experimental folk, and abstract jazz. In their hands, the ancient zithers become contemporary narrative instruments that push boundaries and redefine musical spaces. Between ethereal textures and precise dynamics, a music emerges that breathes the moment and takes silence just as seriously as the sound itself. Thus unfolds a fragile yet powerful sonic world that turns listening itself into an experience—open, floating, and wholly in the present, as a celebration of the moment in all its nuances.

SOPHIE ABRAHAM
As a cellist and composer, Sophie Abraham moves along and across musical boundaries, placing the “in-between” at the center of her work. Born in Groningen and raised in Austria, for her, a life in the in-between is both a biographical reality and an artistic principle—as is evident in her 2026 album “The Beauty In Between,” which defies any clear categorization and draws its strength precisely from this. In Sophie Abraham’s hands, the cello becomes a versatile sound instrument: at times bass, at times melody, at times rhythm, or at times a voice. Composition, improvisation, and sound design intertwine, complemented by electronic elements that open up new spaces. Thus, her music combines intimacy with expansiveness and personal experiences with universal themes such as closeness, loss, and connection.
