Ernst Molden: Einzelgänger
Ernst Molden: Einzelgänger
Information
Ernst Molden, described by the *Oberösterreichische Nachrichten* as “the outstanding Austrian singer-songwriter of our time,” typically performs in a wide variety of ensembles: as a duo with Nino aus Wien or Hans Theessink, with Ursula Strauss or a full band, with the Frauenorchester, or with Maria Petrova. He also regularly takes the stage with Christopher Seiler or the Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln.
In 2027, he will perform solo. For each evening, he selects the right songs from over 300 of his own compositions—always tailored to the venue and the occasion. It promises to be exciting.
In 2015, he received the German Song Prize for the “most significant song in the German language” (Ho Rugg)—as the first Austrian musician to do so. This was followed by three Amadeus Awards in the Jazz/Blues/World category, major performances ranging from the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg to the Burgtheater in Vienna—and, among other things, the hit “Awarakadawara.”
