FLOATING SOFA QUARTET folk.art Festival 2026

The “Floating Sofa Quartet” brings together four outstanding young musicians from Sweden, Finland, and Denmark to form an award-winning ensemble on the Nordic folk scene. With violin, accordion, flute, and guitar, they create warm, timeless music that effortlessly bridges tradition and the present. Sometimes powerful and rousing, sometimes delicate and touching—always carried by a palpable joy of playing. Their pieces tell of encounters, movement, and the shared journey. A musical space where one arrives, lets go, and drifts along. The album “Tides,” released in 2025, celebrates the quartet’s tenth anniversary and all the life experiences—big and small—they have lived through and shared during this time—from relationships and parenthood to passing the driver’s license exam.
