Grazer Keplerspatzen: Engel singen Jubellieder - Sun 14.12.2025
Information
As one of the most renowned choirs in Graz, the Grazer Keplerspatzen know how to inspire the audience with their songs. You can expect an atmospheric start to Advent in the Mariatrost Basilica.
The Graz Keplerspatzen have not only long since established themselves as a permanent institution in the Graz music scene, but have also attracted attention far beyond the city limits. The choir was founded in 1967 by Fritz Haselwander, then music teacher at the Bundesrealgymnasium Keplerstraße, and has been continued with fresh vigor by Ulrich Höhs, also a music teacher, since 1993. Initially conceived as a boys’ choir, girls’ and men’s voices were added over time, resulting in the typical sound of today’s performances.
The members of the choir are all pupils or graduates of the BRG Kepler and invest a lot of time and energy in their free time for the common cause. Intensive rehearsals, coupled with individual voice training and learning the necessary basics, allow the Keplerspatzen choir to successfully tackle even difficult classical and contemporary works of choral literature. …
The Mariatrost Basilica provides the impressive backdrop for a contemplative Advent in Mariatrost am Purberg. Experience an authentic, regionally unadulterated program that is rooted in Christianity. Information on the entire program at Basilika Maria Trost.
