Two grandiose divas, two strong women: Maya Hakvoort, the grande dame of musicals, pays tribute to Barbra Streisand, the icon of show business, with this program. The acclaimed star of “Elisabeth” takes her audience on a very personal musical journey – with her greatest hits. An intimate and at the same time truly great evening that sheds light on Streisand’s art, inspiration and glamor and takes the audience on a fantastic musical journey. Maya Hakvoort celebrated her breakthrough in 1994 as “Elisabeth” in the musical of the same name, which she performed over 1000 times in Vienna, Trieste, Osaka and Tokyo. She has played numerous leading roles in productions such as Chicago, Les Misérables, Evita, High Society, Kiss me Kate, Victor/Victoria, Rebecca, Sunset Boulevard, Cats, Anatevka, Cabaret and Sunset Boulevard, etc. Hakvoort was awarded the Austrian Musical Theater Prize for “Best Musical Performance” in 2023.
