À la Carte: The New Year’s Concert of the Styrian Youth Wind Orchestra

With youthful energy and musical sophistication, the Styrian State Youth Wind Orchestra invites you to the traditional New Year’s Concert “À la Carte” on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 4 pm in the Stefaniensaal at Congress Graz. Under the direction of Helmut Schmid, around 75 musicians will serve up a festive menu of sound colors and emotions – refined by the vocal soloists Sarah Rath and Thomas Wegscheider. The program offers musical delights for every taste: energetic works, rousing film music and great operatic emotions. Highlights include Gerald Oswald’s award-winning “À la Carte”, Verdi’s dramatic “La forza del destino”, the legendary “Jurassic Park Soundtrack” and lively “Austrian Musical Highlights”.
