At the time of the premiere, the Austrian National Council had been in office for one and a half years. It comprises 183 members of parliament. 183 political bodies, because the bodies of politicians are a medium of representation. 183 bodies and 183 brains. How do they work? What messages do they send out into the world? When do their statements have substance? When are they just chatter? And who are the people behind the words? …

In the tried-and-tested Austrian folk theater tradition, the TiB and Schauspielhaus Graz take the 183 pure by their words and intercept their sentences directly at their mouths. Actors from both ensembles listen carefully and speak out loud what the MPs say. The speeches and debates of the National Council become a theater text that brings to light the beautiful and “shady” depths of local politics in a frighteningly funny way.
