Information
More detailsNono has planned everything: For his tenth birthday, he’s throwing the best party ever, a huge party, a gigantic fiesta! Nothing must be missing: Lemon foam Smarties cake, golden garlands, jeans without holes, a pancake toss, a speech about the world, the first kiss from Luisa, Leila or Cassiopeia. But then Maria Theresa arrives and everything changes. “Whose idea was it to give a hurricane the name Maria Theresa?” The storm with the “granny name” sends Chihuahuas, pizza trolleys, streetcars, buggies and people flying away – no one is allowed to leave the house. The party is literally called off … Will Nono and his friends find each other after all? Can you brave the wind and weather if you really want to celebrate life and friendship? How can we put a light in each other’s window in stormy times? …
Quote:
“The fiesta of all fiestas to come.”
In “Fiesta”, French playwright and actress Gwendoline Soublin asks her characters how we can deal with the unpredictable and the unforeseen – together. What responsibility we have for each other and what we can hold on to when the wind blows. Gwendoline Soublin’s texts have received numerous awards (including the German Children’s Theater Prize) and have been translated into several languages. The Next Liberty closes the season with “Fiesta”. Fits, doesn’t it?
