Graz is Wild – an evening full of music, humor, and diversity
What does Graz sound like beyond the major cultural institutions? What music—some of it still undiscovered—resounds in Styrian living rooms, restaurants, or clubhouses? Music producer Jochen Kühling set out to find it and struck gold: in basements, former office spaces, quiet backyards, and magnificent halls. There he meets musicians who cultivate their art with passion and skill—from the West African ngoni to the Styrian harmonica, from the Bolivian charango to the Armenian duduk. …
The result: a captivating show that brings the full diversity of Styria to the stage. Music that came here with people from all over the world and has found a new home here. Music you simply have to hear.
The multi-award-winning cabaret artist and musical cabaret performer Elli Bauer provides just the right dose of humor. Hailing from Graz with Scottish roots, she captivates audiences with her dry humor, guitar playing, singing, and dancing. She regularly performs on Austria’s cabaret stages, is currently on tour with her third show, “fAngst?,” and also appears on TV and radio (including ORF1, ORFIII, SR Deutschland, and Radio FM4).
Together with Jochen Kühling, Elli Bauer guides the audience through an evening full of surprises, emotion, and the joy of performing. A show that showcases Graz at its most musically diverse.
