More detailsFollowing her global success with the award-winning monologue “Prima Facie”—which premiered at the Schauspielhaus during the 2023/24 season and continues to run at the Schauraum—playwright and attorney Suzie Miller is thrilling audiences once again with her new play “Inter alia.” This time, Miller approaches the topic of sexual violence from a different angle, focusing on entrenched notions of masculinity. …
Once again, a female lawyer takes center stage: Jessica Parks is a successful judge at the London Crown Court. As a committed feminist, she fights for justice with empathy, intelligence, and tenacity, particularly for victims of sexual abuse. Jessica lives by her values in her personal life as well: aware of the challenges of growing up in a patriarchal society, she tries to instill feminist values in her teenage son, Harry. Between stressful court cases and caregiving, Jessica is increasingly pushed to her limits. When her son is summoned by the police for questioning, her world is thrown into turmoil, and Jessica is forced to radically reexamine her own values.
Styrian director Felix Hafner, who has enjoyed success at the Schauspielhaus Graz with *Slippery Slope* and *I am from Austria*, brings Suzie Miller’s powerful play about sexual violence, images of masculinity, and motherhood to the stage.
